About Fill & Feast
Fill and Feast is an authentic Afghan cuisine business that brings the rich, aromatic flavors of Afghanistan to festivals and events in British Columbia through a portable booth and catering services.
The brand was founded in 2005 in Herat, western Afghanistan by Mr. Salihy.
For 16 years, Fill and Feast successfully served thousands of guests at weddings, cultural festivals, and private events across the region, becoming known for its warm hospitality and traditional Afghan dishes.
In August 2021, following the Taliban takeover, the founder and his family lost their entire business and were forced to flee Afghanistan as refugees. They resettled in Vancouver, British Columbia. After three years of rebuilding their lives, learning Canadian food safety regulations, and obtaining local certifications, Wasi is proudly reviving Fill and Feast in 2025.
Today, Fill and Feast represents resilience and cultural preservation. It is more than food —it is a bridge between Afghan heritage and the diverse communities of British Columbia.
